We recommend setting aside around 10 hours per week throughout the fellowship. The exact time commitment may vary depending on the creative medium you choose. Some forms, such as filmmaking or performance, may require additional time during the production phase, while others may be more flexible.

The fellowship is open to anyone between 18 and 40 years of age who has been wanting to tell a compelling story about ecology and human–nature relationships. We welcome people from all backgrounds—whether you are an artist, educator, filmmaker, researcher, student, or simply someone with a story that deserves to be shared.

There is no prescribed format. You can send us: A written piece A song A voice note A short film An animation Photographs Illustrations Or any other creative medium that best tells your story Along with your submission, we'd like you to include: What story do you want to tell?  Share a brief summary of your story, including the place, the people, and the ecological issue it focuses on. Why does this story matter?  Tell us why you believe this story needs to be told. Choose the form that feels most natural to you. The important thing is to share the story you've been wanting to tell the world.

This is not a paid fellowship. However, we will provide: Accommodation and meals during the 4-day residency in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu A nominal stipend to support the development of your story during the fellowship Need-based travel grants for participants who require assistance travelling to the residency Seed grant opportunities for fellows who wish to further develop their stories with creative professionals Participants are expected to cover their own travel to and from the residency unless they receive a travel grant.
