Ending one of his sessions with this image of a waterfall from Panna Tiger Reserve, Shekar Dattatri said, “This is why I do what I do everyday. I don’t want Earth to turn into a martian landscape.”
His insightful films are timeless and a powerful tool for school eco-clubs. It’s always a pleasure listening to his 46-year journey in wildlife and conservation filmmaking. Even better is hearing various aspects like how he learns, the arc of preparing a story, preparing for an audience, making a difference in the community, sincerity of purpose and complexities in conservation. We are super glad that our Earth Ambassadors had quality time with Shekar and hear great stories from him.
