Palamu Division, Jharkhand, India

Ajay is a climate and nature educator based in Palamu district, Jharkhand, a region highly affected by heatwaves and climate stress. Growing up near forests, with early learning from his grandparents, shaped his deep connection to plants and local ecology. Through fellowships such as SBI Youth for India and India Fellow Leadership Programme, Ajay recognised the importance of early-age ecological education. He now leads place-based environmental learning programmes for government school children, focusing on building awareness, agency, and problem-solving around local climate and resource challenges.
