Aishwarya is an urban researcher and policy-oriented practitioner with a strong focus on disability inclusion in climate and sustainability transitions. She recently completed her postgraduate studies in City Design and Social Science at the London School of Economics, where her work examined social inequalities embedded in urban infrastructure, transport systems, and climate policies. Her research foregrounds the lived experiences of people with disabilities, particularly in low- and middle-income countries, and aims to reframe climate action as an opportunity to build socially inclusive, accessible, and just cities.

Aishwarya’s passion project centres on researching and advocating for the inclusion of people with disabilities in climate action, energy transitions, and sustainable transport systems. Her work explores how climate policies, net-zero transitions, and decarbonisation efforts can unintentionally exclude disabled communities, and how these processes can instead be designed to enhance accessibility, equity, and agency. Through policy research and systems analysis, she aims to influence inclusive urban and climate planning, particularly in the Indian context.
